Aila Rose Melasecca is the founder and Principal of the firm. Aila completed a Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University and is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, as well as a registered practitioner with the High Court of Australia.
Over her years as an immigration specialist, she has built a reputation as a human rights focussed lawyer with a passionate work ethic, and is driven to secure outstanding results for all her clients.
Aila is also a Registered Migration Agent (MARN: 1461616) with the Office of Migration Agents Registration Authority.
Aila was born into the Law as her family is entrenched in the legal fraternity.
Her father Rob Melasecca is an accredited specialist lawyer with 40 years experience and is one of the most significant figures in the Legal Industry as a whole.
Rob was the chair of the Criminal Law section of the Law Institute of Victoria for many years, as well as receiving a number of awards for assisting lower income and vulnerable members of the community.
Aila’s brother Pietro Melasecca is a criminal defence lawyer and Partner in the well established firm of Melasecca, Kelly and Zayler with a number of ongoing high profile cases.
Aila’s mother is also employed at one of Melbourne’s top tier law firms that specialises in the field of insolvency law.
Aila consults with each and every member of her extended family on all legal matters that she takes on and her clients reap the immediate benefits of the Melasecca family’s combined experience and wisdom.
Aila is always the first to push for her client’s needs in each and every matter the firm takes on.

Jonty Simmons

Graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (With Distinction) from Deakin University in 2018, Jonty is our firm’s senior solicitor and has a wealth of experience across the legal spectrum.
He has volunteered at Social Security Rights Victoria assisting with Centrelink disputes and low-income matters, participated in start-up advice clinics to small and large businesses as well as providing commercial, criminal and general law assistance at established firms around Melbourne.,
Originally from country Victoria, Jonty’s clear communication with clients and down to earth decision making has lead to a number of successful results for clients across our practice areas. Jonty is extremely passionate about making a positive impact in the legal community and this drive is integral to his success in our firm.
In his spare time, Jonty is Deputy Editor for an online music publication which gives him an excuse to spend his weekends interviewing local and international artists and heading to gigs at any opportunity.

James is currently studying an Associate Degree in Legal Practice (Paralegal) at RMIT University and volunteered at Villamanta Disability Rights Legal Service in a range of matters relating to the National Disability Insurance Scheme and the Victorian Ombudsman.
Ahead of beginning his own career in the law, James is vital in the operation of our firm with legal research and financial analysis quickly becoming his specialty.
With a strong focus on community values, James is an avid local soccer fan and can be found snowboarding in the Winter months on Mount Hotham.

Our resident Office Administrator, Maddi has recently completed her tenure at Eastern Community Legal Centre where she assisted a variety of clients with complex needs as well as assisting in sensitive matters such as Intervention Orders.
The first member our clients usually meet, she is warm and welcoming to any and all who step through our door. Any queries relating to scheduling, invoicing, payment details and the like are Maddi’s area of expertise.
Maddi is also an accomplished dancer and competes regularly at local and interstate competitions.
